How to subscribe to the daily posts by A Painting A Day, the daily painting blog of Edward B. Gordon: 

1. Enter your email address in the box EmailAbo / Subscription on the blogpage. 

2. Your email address will be stored in the google group Edward-B-Gordon. 

3. You will receive a confirmation email that you will need to authorize. 

Has everything been successful, you now get every day when a new image appears on the blog, an email with this image and the accompanying text. This email will be about 250 KB in size, and it of course also contains information on how you can cancel your subscription again. 

A few details about this whole subscribing procedure: 

The confirmation e-mail sometimes ends up in the spam folder so check there too please, if you are missing the confirmation and the daily mail. 

Some email programs do not automatically support the display of images stored on third-party servers,  please update your preferences, should the image not be displayed in the email. 

If you wish to unsubscribe, there may be delays in google groups, this service is a free, google tool, used by millions,  so its processes might sometimes take a little longer. 

In the daily email that you receive from me, in addition to the direct unsubscribe link also the note of the email address sales@gordon.de is included, should you have trouble signing out. Let me know and I will remove your address then manually from the mailing list and you should not receive any more emails. 

However, I would like to point out especially, that with this subscription cancellations, whether by you or by me manually, delays may occur. These are not my responsibility and I take over no responsibility and liability. 

Often it only helps to delete the daily email or to mark it as spam, if you are annoyed. 

To what extent even google is taking responsibility can be found in the Terms of google groups, which are viewable online.

So funktioniert das Abonnieren des täglichen posts von A Painting A Day, dem Tagesbildblog von Edward B. Gordon:

1. Sie tragen Ihre email Adresse in das Feld EmailAbo/Subscription auf der blog Seite ein.

2. Ihre email Adresse wird in der google group Edward-B-Gordon gespeichert.

3. Sie erhalten eine Bestätigungsemail von google groups, die Sie autorisieren müssen.

Hat alles geklappt, erhalten Sie nun jeden Tag sobald ein neues Bild auf dem blog erscheint, eine email mit diesem Bild und dem dazugehörenden Text. Diese email wird ca. 250 KB gross sein und sie enthält selbstverständlich auch den Hinweis, wie Sie Ihr Abonnement wieder abmelden können.

Ein paar weitere Details zum Abonnement Procedere:

Die Bestätigungsemail Ihres Eintrages landet manchmal im Spam Ordner also sehen Sie dort bitte nach, wenn Sie sich angemeldet haben und die Bestätigung noch vermissen, und keine tägliche email bekommen.

Manche email Programme unterstützen die Darstellung von Bildern, die auf fremden servern lagern, nicht automatisch, bitte aktualisieren Sie Ihre Einstellungen sollten Sie das Bild in der email nicht sehen können.

Wenn Sie sich abmelden möchten, kann es bei google groups zu Verzögerungen kommen, es handelt sich bei diesem Service um ein kostenloses, millionenfach genutztes Tool von google in dem die Abläufe manchmal etwas länger dauern.

In der täglichen email erhalten Sie neben dem direkten Abmeldelink auch den Hinweis sich an die email sales@gordon.de zu wenden sollten Sie Schwierigkeiten haben, sich abzumelden. Geben Sie einfach Bescheid und ich nehme Sie dann manuell aus dem Verteiler und Sie sollten keine emails mehr erhalten.

Gleichwohl weise ich ausdrücklich darauf hin, dass es bei diesen Abonnementstornierungen, ob durch Sie ausgelöst oder von mir manuell durchgeführt, innerhalb der google group zu Verzögerungen kommen kann die nicht in meiner Verantwortung liegen und für die ich keinerlei Verantwortung und Haftung übernehme.

Oft hilft dann nur, die tägliche email zu löschen oder als Werbung zu markieren, falls Sie sich belästigt fühlen.

Inwieweit google selbst Verantwortung übernimmt finden Sie in den Nutzungsbedingungen zu google groups, die online einsehbar sind.
